At Dave Syverson, we love cars. We also love keeping our community members up-to-date on what’s going on in the area! For years (thousands, in fact), trick-or-treating has been a tradition for many. While the meaning and practices have changed over time, the tradition has now become a simple way to have fun on Halloween. It gives children the opportunity to dress up, gather a basket/bucket/pillow case, knock on doors and collect goodies. If you’ve been looking for ways to liven up your Halloween night (that doesn’t include the scary things, like haunted houses), then you may be looking to plan an evening of trick-or-treating in the area! If that’s the case, we have the trick-or-treat times for Albert Lea, MN available below.

Trick-or-treat hours in Albert Lea, Minnesota

If you’re planning on taking some lucky kids out for an exciting evening of trick-or-treat, there is a limited time to do so. Albert Lea specifically sets times for trick-or-treat to help ensure that those passing out candy are not disturbed too late into the evening. The hours to partake in trick-or-treating are between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Of course, if those times don’t work for a particular group, there are plenty of other places to go (linked above) to partake in on Halloween weekend. If you’re set to trick-or-treat during those times, it is also important to make sure everyone remains safe, which is why we have a few tips for trick-or-treaters below.

Trick-or-treat safety tips

Trick-or-treating can be an extremely fun activity, but of course, it must be done with precautions. At Dave Syverson, we want to make sure you have a safe, happy and candy-filled evening (without any hiccups), so we recommend the following habits on Halloween night:

  1. Make sure your costume is visible to cars/other trick-or-treaters.
  2. Follow traffic signals and lights.
  3. Check candy before eating.
  4. Make sure you trick-or-treat in a safe neighborhood.
  5. Stay on sidewalks.
  6. Do not trick-or-treat alone.
  7. Make sure that costumes don’t impede vision or movement.
  8. Do not include toy weapons with costume.
