Things to do at the Mall of America
Summer is a spectacular time to live in the beautiful city of Albert Lea, but if you need few days to cool off, the Mall of America is the place for you. Only an hour and a half away from Dave Syverson Auto Center in Albert Lea, the Mall of America is full of things to do that don’t all involve shopping. We know that you have heard of all of the wonders of this enormous shopping center before and perhaps have even experienced this place of wonder recently, but there are always new exciting things to do at the Mall of America.
One exciting feature that has recently opened in the Bloomington mall is the “Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles” exhibit in the Midwest Music Museum. This awesome exhibit displays artifacts such as Paul McCartney’s
jacket worn at Shea Stadium, the original drum head from the Ed Sullivan Show, Ringo Starr’s jacket worn on the Abbey Road cover, and much more. You can also play a guitar like the one the Beatles played and a drumset like Ringo.
Another great thing going on at the Mall of America right now is the Summer of Turtles 2014. Take your kids or your inner child to the Nickelodeon Universe to hang out with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Come collect all nine collectable trading cards and do cool activities with the Turtles themselves.
When you are hungry after shopping and all the other exciting activities the Mall of America has to offer, come on over to the new Hard Rock Cafe that will open in mid-summer. The trendy cafe will be able to seat 1,200 diners. Once you have eaten, stop at the 75- square foot shop. This is a dining experience you won’t forget!
The Mall of America has tons to do for the whole family and is a great place to get cool in the late summer days. Come get your car serviced before the trip and be on your way to a great quick trip.
