Next-Generation Wrangler Rumors
Fans of the iconic Jeep Wrangler have had a lot to be excited about recently. There have been a lot of recent rumors that have been surfacing about the next-generation of the Jeep Wrangler. This new model is not expected to come out until sometime in 2017 for the 2018 model year. However, if these new rumors turn out to be true the new generation of the Wrangler will be definitely worth the wait. In this blog post we will be telling you all about the next-generation Wrangler rumors that have been surfacing recently.
There has recently been powertrain and transmission rumors surfacing about the next-generation 2018 Jeep Wrangler. Supposedly there is an anonymous source from within FCA that has confirmed that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will boast an athletic 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel, V6 engine. The source also claims that this new powertrain will be mated to a new eight-speed, automatic transmission. If these reports turn out to be true the off-road ability and power in the next-generation Wrangler should far exceed the previous version.
There was also another report from Automotive News that states that the next-generation Jeep Wrangler will be keeping the solid floating axles in the front and rear. This is news that we have all been hoping to hear because the solid axles are cheaper to produce, very capable, and are easy to modify.
Jeep will still not officially comment on whether or not any of these rumors are true. They say that they do not comment on future products. However, we hope that the rumors end up turning out to be true.
