Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat is on the way
When Dodge pulled the covers off the 2015 Challenger and Charger Hellcat models last year they shocked the automotive industry. These vehicles came out to rave reviews because of the immense power that they have. We started to hear rumors about additional Hellcat models after Dodge released these models and they started shattering sales expectations. One of the rumored models that we heard about was the possibility of a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat. Well, as it turns out the rumors are most likely true and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat is on the way. We will be using this blog post to tell you everything that we know about this exciting new SUV so far.
We have read several online sources that say the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat has received the green light from FCA for the 2017 model year. Supposedly, this high-performance SUV is being referred to as “Project K” at the Jeep headquarters right now. However, as of right now Jeep is refusing to officially confirm or deny the reports.
If these reports are true this all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee will come equipped with the 6.2-liter, supercharger, eight-cylinder, HEMI, Hellcat engine that boasts an outstanding 707 horsepower with 650 pound-feet of torque. This vehicle will also feature the Jeep’s all-wheel drive system along with the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. There are also reports that this vehicle will officially be called the Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk when it is released. Also, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will remain in the lineup and get a boost to 490 horsepower.
We are crossing our fingers that the reports of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk are true. All of us here at Dave Syverson Auto Center will be sure to provide you with additional updates as they become available to us.
