2015 Ford Mustang won the SEMA Award
Every year the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas is held as a celebration of automotive innovation and creativity. Every major automaker brings their latest and greatest new vehicles as well as custom creations to show off at SEMA. The 2014 SEMA Auto Show is just wrapping up and the 2015 Ford Mustang won the SEMA Award for hottest car this year.
The success that the Ford Mustang had at SEMA this year should come as no surprise, considering that the Mustang has actually won the hottest car at SEMA award for the last three years in a row.
This highly coveted annual award is goes to the vehicle that is recognized as the most accessory-friendly, which is based on the number of aftermarket parts that are exhibited for it. Since Ford prepared over a dozen of their new 2015 Mustangs it is very easy to see why they won the top prize this year. The Mustang was also completely redesigned from bumper to bumper for 2015, which also helped it to stand out in this competition as well.
One of the things that makes the SEMA show so special is that it serves as a celebration of the aftermarket automotive industry, which is rapidly growing. In fact, it is estimated that the aftermarket automotive industry generates around 33 billion dollars per year. So it is no surprise that major automakers like Ford are putting serious time and effort into building custom creations for events like SEMA to appeal to this crowd.
