Ford is notorious for keeping drivers interested in new, powerful products. Lately, the brand’s Focus model has been gaining attention, as the new Focus RS will soon hit the market. If you’re already the owner of a Focus (and don’t have the patience to wait for the new RS to arrive), there is a new option from Ford that may suit your possible want for more power. If you’re the proud owner of a Ford Focus ST, your driving experience has the opportunity to climb to new heights. Recently, Ford released an upgrade kit (developed by Mountune) for drivers who would like a little more oomph from their 2013-2015 Ford Focus STs. The Ford Focus ST performance upgrade is now available to drivers who have loyalty to their Focus ST, and it just might beat out competitors like the Volkswagen GTI when it comes to power.

There are a few different options when it comes to available performance kits. To start off, the upgrade is available with a Mountune handheld ECU programmer, or drivers can opt out of that option. The kits start of at just under $1360, and offer the necessary hardware, performance intake and an intercooler (this option is without the programmer). If you’re looking to include the programmer, an extra $790 will get it to you, as well as the extra 275 horsepower (on premium fuel) promised to you. While that kit is for the 2015 Ford Focus ST, there are similar kits that are available for the 2013 and 2014 model years. So, if you’re looking for a bit more power behind your Focus, you can have it for a reasonable price. To inquire further about the new Ford Focus performance upgrade, drivers are encouraged to contact their local Ford dealer for more information.
