Touch Screens in cars Since the 1980s

In today’s current auto market a big selling point is technology features. Automakers try to pack as much new technology into the cars that they produce as possible. One of the most popular new features that has arisen in the past few years is touch-screen technology in cars. Almost all major automakers have been implementing this technology over the past few years and make it available in almost all the models that they produce. This format works well with the infotainment systems that a lot of the new cars come with today that provide things like: Hands-free phone calls, navigation and entertainment. However, even though this technology has only recently become popular in cars it is not anything new. Surprisingly, we’ve had touch screens in cars since the 1980s. (more…)

Here at Dave Syverson Auto Center Albert Lea MN, we are big fans of Dodge and the rich history of the brand. So we’ve decided that it would be fun to take a look back at a classic Dodge vehicle every week in something that we call, “Flashback Friday”. This will be our first Flashback Friday post ever, so we wanted to cover a car that was truly unique and special. Well, there is nothing more classic then the General Lee, which is the Dodge Charger that was used in the Dukes of Hazzard television show. (more…)
