While we don’t have details on the new pickups towing capabilities or horsepower, we do have information on what the new Super Duty will be made of.The new frame will be mostly (about 95 percent) made of steel, which will make the new vehicle about six times stronger than its predecessors. Both towing hitches will be weight-bearing and attached directly to the frame. Many of the other elements of the new Super Duty are to complement its towing ability, like larger axles and brakes (of course, Ford isn’t revealing details). Even the 360-view camera was built with towing in mind, as the system is still able to see surroundings with a trailer attached, due to a camera that can be attached to the item in tow. While the news was just released about the new Super Duty, Ford never makes its loyal consumers wait terribly long for a new release. It has been said that the new model will not see production until fall of 2016, which sets the release date further into the future, but not too much further. Luckily, for those who can’t wait to drive their new, able-bodied Ford, it is set to go on sale by the end of 2016.
