2015 Nissan Altima Review
Nissan took their popular Altima and completely redesigned it for the 2015 model year. These changes have helped Nissan make the Altima stand out amongst other mid-size sedans like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. We’ve decided to write a 2015 Nissan Altima review to showcase some of the standout features for this model year.
One of the main things that has made the Altima so successful in previous years is the fact that this car is fun to drive and still very affordable. That is why the Altima was voted the most popular mid-size car on Edmunds.com in 2014 and why Cars.com named it the most affordable mid-size car of 2014. The starting price of this vehicle is $22,300 for the 4 cylinder model.
Nissan is carrying over this trend of quality, excellence and affordability into the 2015 model year. The Altima comes equipped with a surprisingly powerful 2.5L I-4 engine that pushes out 182 horsepower. It is also offered with a 3.5L V6 engine as well. It comes with a Continuously Variable Transmission. This transmission has become very popular in recent years because it is very efficient and transitions seamlessly between gears with no shift shock. Even though the Altima doesn’t lack in the power department, it’s still very eco friendly. The Altima gets 27 mpg in the city and an amazing 38 hwy mpg. In fact, the Altima gets better gas mileage than vehicles such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
The exterior of the vehicle was redesigned with a sleek new style that is very attractive. The interior of the car gives you the feel of a luxury car without the luxury price tag. For example, the seats in the car were actually inspired by NASA. It also comes with more head and front legroom than the Accord and Camry.
The 2015 Camry also has many tech features that are all aimed at making your life easier. It comes with things like the Easy-fill tire alert which tells the driver when its time to add more air into the tires. Another feature is the Advanced Drive Assist Display which allows the driver to view incoming phone calls, get turn-by-turn directions and more.
